Another day GONE

wow… amazing, the last day of April already, and just 2 very full packed days of work remaining.

I know this is really going to be a storm before the calm (a bit backwards, but how it feels :) )

I am looking sooooooo forward to losing myself in my artclass next week, i cant even believe i am doing this for myself!

You go girl! (I tell myself :) )

Ok, so tomorrow is super busy; back to back meetings 9-5! I will make it through! Cool and windy today just 70 degrees.

Tues/Wed/Thur and then Friday last day

Wow, how time flies, and of course in order for me to leave without making my co-workers hate me, I need to prepare so much documentation and cover all my bases, and that on top of wrapping up all my projects, makes me feel like I am working 2 jobs… plus of course the job at home, to prepare for all my great plans :)

Weather cooled down substancially today… its only about 70 degrees today.

have a good one!

Sabbatical -5 amazing…

sunday was spent mostly with Max working on his Transcontinental railroad scrapbook, he is really doing a nice job, nice to see that he is such a perfectionist. He’s making sure that each page really tells a story, as he knows that when it comes to presenting this project he can use this as a prop (smart kid) :)

Mady had yet another birthday party, this party she learned acrylic on canvas (funny that is what i am spending $1,000 to learn in carmel… i could have just stayed at the 2 hours party (wink)) (see next post for the photo of her masterpiece!

Ive really gotta get cracking on the business plan that i have to finish by Friday!!! until next time.

One digit countdown

Wow… you know, I started my countdown, ironically, at 99 days, i set it up on my google homepage and its been getting smaller day by day, but to open my browser today and see 9 all by itself, amazing.

For some reason, this event is huge for me. I think due to my first sabbatical being focused solely on the birth of my daughter, and taking care of her (and my 2 year old son at that time) it wasnt much of a “break” which is what sabbaticals are really suppose to be.

Its been a full 8 years since that day, and 15 years before Intel, so I think getting my mind off of work, and focusing on ME and what I want to do with the rest of my life, is really exciting. Sixty Six wonderful days, Im very excited.

I have 3 different “plans” for my time off, the first, which will switch me into OFF mode from Intel, is my drive to Carmel for the Artista Creative Safari. This is a 4 day/3 nite Acrylic Abstract Paining class, and retreat. There will 8-9 other woman in the class. FABULOUS.

Second adventure, is really something i will take my time doing, but its to create a Mosaic Pot, for the backyard. I saw one in the MacKenzie Childs catalog and it cost $990, and i thought… I can make that, so I’ve purchased the clay pot (actually limestone), and i need now to select my colors, rocks, chipped plates etc. to decorate. Very fun :)

and lastly, we have 8 nights at the exciting Saratoga Springs Resort, on Disney property at Disneyworld, in Florida!  The kids are beside themselves excited, and cant wait to just soak it all up. We leave on May 31st, in hopes that the first week in June will be a little slower than the rest of June, as school wont be out yet :) for most.

So, that is my plan, will update you gettin ready for all the fun and exciting things:)  TTFN
